GEKKO bikes
Born & Raced · Oslo, 1991
Gekko has been part of Norwegian cycling culture since 1991, with roots in Oslo's legendary bike shop Sykkeldelisk. Since 2002 we have worked closely with the brand, helping shape and refine Gekko across an expanding range of bikes. From gravel, mountain and road biles to everyday commute and children’s bikes.

From the beginning, the goal was to create a bike brand that would be a quality choice for most people. Not a direct challenger to the most premium brands, but a serious and reliable alternative that offered quality, performance, and value in equal measure. Backed by leading players in Norway’s sporting goods retail space, Gekko was always in a prime position to compete next to established international brands.

Over more than two decades, we have worked across brand strategy, visual identity, product graphics, naming, and product architecture. Together with their product team we have developed a clear model matrix that makes it easier for both retailers and customers to navigate buying the right bike.

Central to the approach has been a belief in restraint. Rather than chasing trends, we’ focused on creating understated clean designs and color ways that still feels fresh many years later. In a category often crowded with visual noise, Gekko has built its brand legacy on quality, consistency, and restraint.
